Transport yourself to the late 1960s and early '70s, a time when Zenith was not only crafting iconic El Primeros but also unveiling their prowess in the creation of sport watches, including the AutoSport line. The AutoSport series embodies the quintessential 1970s design ethos - a vertically elongated tonneau-shaped case, a sleek dial, and the reliable heartbeat of an automatic movement. However, amid this era's typical charm, the 'Luxe' series emerges as a true standout, boasting a symphony of different colors and materials that redefine elegance. Available options were - blue, green, red, black, and gold.

Labeling this model as a mere workhorse would be an understatement, for within its refined exterior lies the robust and enduring self-winding caliber 2562PC movement. A testament to its resilience, this movement has demonstrated exceptional performance over the span of many decades, earning its stripes not only in this model but also in Defy series and other distinguished timepieces.

I have decided to make the gold dial model the ruler of the Autosport models. You really have to hold one of these to realize how beautifully this dial plays in the light. Hopefully my photography makes the point well!

There were total of 5 different dial and case variations made. Gold plated case - red and gold dial. Stainless steel case - blue, green, and black dial.
